MD FIRST

MDFIRST (Martin Dow Fellows in Research and Training) is a research methodology training workshop designed by epidemiologists and research experts to uplift medical research standards. The aim of this workshop is to provide medical professionals with essential knowledge who are pursuing to publish clinical studies and articles in local and international scientific medical journals.

Martin Dow has taken this initiative with an aim to project quality medical research in Pakistan on a global level. This workshop has helped hundreds of health professionals enhance their research writing skills. The workshop covers essential information on objective development, article writing, journal selection, research types, sample size calculations, data compilation, biostatistical analysis, in light of international research standards. The trainers of MDFIRST are skilled epidemiologists and research experts who have extensive experience in reviewing and publishing scientific articles in both local and international medical journals.

Martin Dow celebrated the landmark achievement conducting of 40 successful research workshops in 24 tertiary care university hospitals in 7 large cities of Pakistan. More than 1500 aspiring healthcare professionals belonging to varied specialties have participated in these interactive workshops.

By contributing to continuous medical education of healthcare professionals, Martin Dow aims to set higher standards of quality patient care.
